The Cavan Echo 20th March 2009

Bikers prepare to gather again to pay tribute to their lost colleagues

Bikers lost on the road are to be remembered again at a very special event. The Gone But Not Forgotten Bikers Memorial 2010

The ‘Gone But Not Forgotten Bikers’ Memorial Mass’ draws bikers, the families of deceased bikers, as well as the general public to the small church in Aughdrumsee, Roslea, County Fermanagh in ever increasing numbers. The ‘Bikers’ Mass’ as it is simply known, is now very much an established event in the bikers calendar in the border region.

But eth Mass has a much wider appeal beyond the local area. As in previous years, the organisers expect people to come from counties from all over the island, as bikers are renowned as a uniquely close and supportive community.

The Mass is open to those of all religions and none. Equally, it is open to those who ride a bike and those who don’t. It is a celebration of those who died doing what they loved, so with that in mind, organisers are inviting Cavan people to get out their diary and mark the date below. All are very welcome.

Gone But Not Forgotten Bikers’ Memorial Mass, Aughdrumsee, Roslea, County Fermanagh, Friday May 22, 8pm.
