Date set for annual Bikers' Memorial Mass
The Bikers Memorial Mass now in it's 11th year will take place on May 10th at The Sacred Heart Church in Clones. From early evening the streets of Clones will echo with the sound of hundreds of powerful machines as bikers come to remember and pay their respects to their fallen friends.
Organisers say the unique occasion where bikers, their families and the general public come to talk about their loved ones and celebrate their lives and the positive legacy they left behind.
The organising committee say with the experience of the last 10 years behind them are confident that this year will again see an increase in the numbers attending. With use of their website and Facebook page committee member and webmaster Ann Marie Marshall believes the message is getting out to a wider and wider audience. ‘Each year we have seen the memorial grow in terms not only of numbers, but also of geographical spread’ she stated.
At the moment Ann Marie is in the process of developing the website to make it more user friendly and accessible. ‘We find that people come across our website first and then move on to the facebook page’ she believes. ‘I hope in the next few weeks to make the two more easily sharable, thus reaching more people’.
