John was born in Aghadrumsee and qualified as a building surveyor in 1981, graduating from The Ulster Polytechnic in Jordanstown. His professional career of 42 years was in Belfast. He resided in Carryduff with his wife Pauline. John always had a passion for motorbikes from childhood. His 50th Birthday present was a Harley Davidson motorbike, his pride and joy. John was a, "fairweather", rider and liked nothing more than getting on his motorbike and riding out to Newcastle,County Down, County Donegal and Aghadrumsee, meeting up with his biker friends. John frequently attended The Bikers Mass in Clones. John was a loving, compassionate husband, with a great sense of wit, humour and intellect. He was a man, (gentleman). He had integrity and was a loyal companion to his wide circle of friends and work colleagues.

Loved and missed everyday by his wife Pauline, family and friends. X
